OCEAN Fenders gains publicity in local TV station

A brand new OCEAN factory is opening this year in Pernik. This manufacturing plant will produce boat fenders, life saving equipment and marine products. It will start its operation with 21 employees and until the end of 2017 there going to open 250 new positions.

The new plant will produce marine equipment in the building of the former sewing factory in Pernik. Currently, the fenders production machines are being tested and the activities are monitored by foreign supervisors who train the new employees. According to the director of the factory production is specialized.
Miroslav Todorov, manufacture plant manager commented: “We build fenders that prevent yachts and boats from being damaged during their mooring operations. We also produce Marine Equipment and Marine Safety products, such as Liferafts and Lifejackets.

The factory location was not a random choice.
“We believe that in this town we will find the people that we actually need. It is well-known, that in Pernik there is a long tradition in the field of metallurgy and mechanical engineering. There are many well-trained technical staff and we hope that we will be able to rely on them for our future plans, "said Miroslav Todorov.

Interest in the new openings is already high. The plant is looking for workers with secondary education, good labor discipline and willingness to work in shifts. Salaries are expected to be above Pernik average. A job agency of this mining town, welcomes the opportunities the investor brings and the chance for the Pernik locals to stay and earn a living in the hometown without having to travel daily to Sofia.

"Up to now we have hired about 20 employees who meet the requirements", said Rosen Simeonov, director of a job agency in Pernik.
Until now, there has been a total investment of over 5 million Lev in the Pernik economy. With the successful completion of the development, local jobs will be created for people who deal with logistics, catering and transport services.
