FENDERS INFLATION INSTRUCTIONS

OCEAN fenders can be inflated by several types of air sources, including hand or foot air pump and air compressor.

Fender Valve

Step 1

Open the cap of the boat fender and turn the OCEAN valve half turn (1/2) to the left. The easiest way to unscrew is with a coin. Avoid total unscrewing and eventually removing the valve from the fender body for better inflation performance.

  • Easy fit with cap protection

  • Designed to be corrosion - free

  • Once removed can be easily placed again

Step 2

Apply the nozzle of the air source into the valve without over forcing so as to avoid damaging it.

Step 3

Then inflate the fender until suggested pressure 0.15bar (*). By this pressure the fender should be pressed easily with your finger.
(*) void over inflating the fender (the surface of fender will be too hard to press and the rope-hole will be deformed) because it will reduce its performance and lifetime. If so, deflate until the point you can push your finger in fender surface ~2cm

Step 4

After filling the fender with proper amount of air, remove the nozzle and screw clockwise half turn. Do not over-force the screw over that point because the valve will be damaged.

Step 1

We use a simple nozzle of the air source with no pin! (no adaptor needed, use flat head)

Step 2

Apply air pressure against the valve by just pushing it

Step 3

Inflate the fender until suggested pressure of 0.15 Bar

Step 4

By this pressure the fender should be pressed easily with your finger.
(*) void over inflating the fender (the surface of fender will be too hard to press and the rope-hole will be deformed) because it will reduce its performance and lifetime. If so, deflate until the point you can push your finger in fender surface ~2cm
